A survivor’s desperate journey through six states with her preteen daughter highlighted the failures of the system meant to protect them. After countless calls to trafficking hotlines and being met with indifference, she finally found someone who cared. Her words, “I feel safe now… I am ready for help,” remind us why we must be the ones who answer the call and ensure no survivor feels alone again.
