“I was just talking to God. I told him I was hungry and asked him to please provide some food,” Rita* shares as tears fill her eyes. “And then you walked up and gave me these meals. God sent you!”
Our outreach team had served weekly in this area for 2 years. Over the summer break, we paused outreach and after starting back up, Rita* was happy to see us again!
She shared with our team that she now has housing, and she praised God that she is no longer in the abusive relationships she had experienced while homeless and trying to survive. Her boyfriends, whom we knew to be traffickers, had caused her much pain and sorrow. Now she has a safe place to sleep, but she has a lot of fear and trauma.
We asked, “What can we pray for you?”
She could have asked for her physical needs: food, money, security. She could have asked for her emotional needs: healing from past trauma, peace, and happiness. But she didn’t mention any of those. Her response? “I’d really like to go to church somewhere.”
Our team prayed for her, and we are trying to connect her with a church near her new home. Please join us in praying for God to provide transportation and a healthy godly community for her.

I had donated a box of journals to your ministry before and was wondering if you could use some now. There are 20 journals in a box. The journals are designed for women who have gone through trauma.
